Dear Class:
Working as a computer tech
Materials use is also a huge component of computer manufacturing: Manufacturing Process
Manufacturing Process worksheet
We had almost finished the manufacturing worksheet: Manufacturing Process worksheet
I would like to do one more thing before we ascend into CS3 Illustrator and that is to look at basic machine language using a short worksheet. You will have to "translate" a few bits on information on the worksheet.
If you get done early, please open CS3 Illustrator and look at the basic layout of the menu and the toolbars. We will start with a "robot".
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me.
Sincerely,
Mr. Green-Hite

We will finishing everything we learned thus far together and produce a two page report on a technology item or concept of your choice. You will have to research it, have at least five sites you will rely on for the paper (you do not have to rely on all of them but you have to verify your information). You will have to provide a citation page for these. The research paper will be posted on turnitin.com and must have either a green or blue color. Yellow, orange, and yellow will not be accepted. If any papers are not accepted, it will result in an "F" grade. You will have to resubmit a new topic and do a completely new paper! I expect you to have most, if not all the research done today and have begun the introductory paragraph. The next class you will be doing your citations and working on the paper itself. Again, any copy and paste will be detected and dealt with...so don't do it! I would suggest you copy and paste the web site and any information you think you will use onto a word document and then synthesis it into your final research on a separate document.
This will be submitted at turnitin.com.
Finally, (Issues of Change PowerPoint). Find 10 jobs that are IT related; make sure they include the salaries, requirements for the job, and the website you got it from.)

Dear Class:
The class is quite simple:
Today I need several things;
1. Two evaluations of web sites (see last period's instructions)
2. Six Citations (the two we did last period that included a citation for portlandmaps.com and one from OSLIS. The other four from your research on a technology subject of your choice.
3. A rough draft of your research paper. The paper is to be a minimum 1.5 to 2 pages in length, 12 pt time new roman font, side margins 1". Print this out; attach it on top of the six citations from above.
4. If you are all done then: Find 10 jobs that are IT related; make sure that includes the salaries, requirements for the job, and the website you got it from.
Citations for Web Pages. You will be going to the David Douglas High School Web Site and citing three web pages on the same word document. Go to the official high school web site at http://ddhs.ddouglas.k12.or.us/ and go to the media and library button. From there, go to the OSLIS button (We did this together when we did our searches). Go to the APA Citation link on the right side. You will use the “Internet, Web Page – Personal” for your personal one and then you have to figure out which citation you use for the two web sites I have provided. One will be for www.portlandmaps.com and one will be for an article in OSLIS and the final citation will be of your choice. When the citations are done, they will appear at the bottom. Copy and paste them in a blank document with the heading “Citations” with your name and class period at the bottom. This sheet will be printed and handed in!
Issues of Change PowerPoint. Look over. I will go over it on the screen with you. Find 10 jobs that are IT related; make sure that includes the salaries, requirements for the job, and the website you got it from.
